We’re delighted to bring you fishing & lodging packages through our partnership with Baranof Excursions and Ketch Inn. This special is open to anyone who stays in one of our Bed and Breakfast suites or one of our Vacation Rentals.

Baranof Fishing Excursions, one of the highest-rated Fishing Excursions in Alaska, is in downtown Ketchikan’s Thomas Basin just 5 miles south of The Black Bear Inn. The Ketch Inn is the new sister lodge of the Salmon Falls Lodge in Ketchikan. The Ketch Inn is located on the water on mile south of the Black Bear Inn. The Black Bear Inn can host your next small group getaway
  • Activities are selected to meet the guest’s individual needs and goals. Stays can range from four nights to two weeks.
  • Women's Groups, Men's Groups, and Mixed Group packages for up to 16 people can be arranged.​​
  • The Inn is ideal for, spiritual, yoga, photography, painting, poetry, and writing groups.
  • Fishing groups can choose to rent their own fishing boat, hire their own guides or go out with a charter company that we work with.
  • Business and education groups can hold training and planning sessions away from Office distractions.  
  • Self-catered meals can be prepared in the fully equipped kitchen or outdoor Summer Kitchen.
  • Professionally catered meals can be arranged for an additional charge, with advance notice.
  • Packages can include such things as a private driver or tour guide, kayak fishing, saltwater and or​ freshwater fishing, fly fishing lessons, a trip to the Misty Fjords by floatplane or fast boat, bear watching, a trip to the native town of Metlakatla, or a professional massage in your room or on the sun deck.
  •  Arrangements for these Packages should be made 6 to 8 months in advance depending on when you want to book.
